Get Back

The Metapedia tells us that the first version of the Beatle's song Get Back was written as a protest against immigration. The Wiki admits the fact more or less [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Get_Back ] but minimizes it, claiming that Paul is far too high minded for that sort of thing and being satirical about Enoch Powell's Rivers of Blood speech. Read for yourself. Think for yourself. Decide for yourself.

Get Back the 1968 song by the Beatles was originally recorded as a protest against Pakistani immigration into Great Britain. The Beatles inspiration was the famous Rivers of Blood speech given a few day earlier by House of Commons member Enoch Powell who warned the British people of the coming danger of non-White immigration into Great Britain.

Original anti-immigrant lyrics

Get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged. Get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged.

Ronan Relimun, was a Puerto Rican, living in another world, All the people 'round, say why are Puerto Ricans, livin' in the USA.

Get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged. Get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged.

(Instrumental)

Pretty Ado Lamb, was a Pakistani, living in another land, All the people 'round, don't dig no Pakistanis, taking all the people's jobs.

So get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged. Get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged.

(Instrumental)

Get back, get back, get back, get back. Get back, get back, get back, get back.

Meanwhile back at home, too many Pakistanis, living in a council flat, Candidate for Labour, tell us what your plan is, won't you tell me where it's at?

So get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged. Get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged.
