Tim Montgomery and Media Corruption
The media wanted to tell us that he was black and the world's faster runner but when the drugs bust came along it changed. No more mug shots except the sort with a number underneath. The media like to tell us that blacks are wonderful or victims. They like to tell us when a black man is a victim of white people. It happens from time to time but when blacks are the perpetrators it all goes down the memory hole.
World’s fastest man facing three years in jail
Five years ago, Montgomery briefly held the vaunted title of the world’s fastest man. He broke the 100 metres record in Paris, recording 9.78sec, and celebrated with his partner at the time, Marion Jones. His title, though, and the glamour of his union with Jones, a fellow US sprinter, was fleeting because three years later he was found guilty of doping and stripped of the record.
The downward spiral did not end there. Three weeks ago he pleaded guilty to charges of fraud and money-laundering and, after a plea-bargain, he will be sentenced to between 37 and 46 months in prison. Montgomery and 11 others were charged with participating in a scheme that involved banking counterfeit cheques worth $5 million (about £2.5 million).

Sprinter admitted use of BALCO 'magic potion'
Tim Montgomery, the world's fastest man, told a federal grand jury he used human growth hormone and a steroidlike "magic potion" provided by the alleged ringleader of the BALCO steroids scandal, The Chronicle has learned. The admission contradicts his recent public denials.
