is not the answer. At least four separate terror teams were able to sail right
past all the elaborate obstacles � the demand for IDs, the metal detectors,

reports that any other terror units were successfully prevented from achieving

terrorists taking even elementary concealment measures. If we could somehow
extend airport-level security to the entire U.S., it would be just as useless
against any determined and even marginally competent enemy......
Perhaps it is too much to hope that we will
respond to this shattering tragedy as well as the Israelis, who have a long
history of preventing similar atrocities by encouraging their civilians to
carry concealed weapons and to shoot back at criminals and terrorists. But it
is in that policy of a distributed response to a distributed threat, with
every single citizen taking personal responsibility for the defence of life
and freedom, that our best hope for preventing recurrences of today' mass
murders almost certainly lies. UNQUOTE This was written on the day and
ignored thereafter. Billions have been wasted on a useless industry selling
high tech machines that work but only at demonstrations.

in insurance payments to cover his losses and help him rebuild at the
World Trade Centre site, is seeking $12.3 billion in damages from
airlines and airport security companies for the 9/11 attack.

zero, sought
the damages, whose amount was not previously known, in a claim filed in
2004, that says the airlines and airport security companies failed to
prevent terrorists from hijacking the planes used to destroy the
buildings. His case was consolidated last week with

by other property owners. But in seeking $12.3 billion, he is by far
the biggest claimant in the litigation.

Last October, the Central Asia Gas Pipeline Consortium,
called CentGas, in which Unocal holds an interest, was formed to develop a gas
pipeline which will link Turkmenistan's vast Dauletabad gas field with markets
in Pakistan and possibly India. The proposed 790-mile pipeline will open up new
markets for this gas, travelling from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan to Multan
in Pakistan. The proposed extension would move gas on to New Delhi, where it
would connect with an existing pipeline. As with the proposed Central Asia oil
pipeline, CentGas can not begin construction until an internationally recognized
Afghanistan Government is in place. UNQUOTE This evidence was given to the

subjected to simulated drowning, or waterboarding, 183 times. Speaking after the arraignment, defence
lawyer James Connell said the behaviour of the five defendants had
amounted to "peaceful resistance to an unjust system". He said the scenes
in the courtroom had demonstrated "that this will be a long hard-fought
but peaceful struggle against secrecy, torture and the misguided
institution of the military commissions".

part of the Chinese government�s pre-2008 Olympics building spree and part of

collapse is consistent with the burning of every steel-framed building in world
history with the exception of the Twin Towers and WTC 7 in New York on Sept. 11,
2001.
The official cause of the fire, which began at approximately
7:45 p.m., was "an unauthorized fireworks display." The fire began at ground
level and quickly worked its way up, consuming all 44 floors and shooting flames
30 feet past the top floor before going out several hours later.
By contrast, only a few small, smoky fires of inexplicable
origin were seen on eight floors of WTC 7 for a few hours and then the building
imploded, collapsing in its own footprint at freefall speed. UNQUOTE This did not get a whole lot of publicity but then it was not part of an agenda.
With the 9/11 Job you wonder whether it was conspiracy or
cock up. Serious people have some difficult questions which the government
has not even tried to answer.
