The executive in Her Majesty's Government is Her prime minister, other ministers and the their departments, that make up the Civil Service. It is also called the Administration and carries out various functions like providing roads. It is distinct from the Judiciary and the Legislature. They are more or less separate; this is called the separation of powers.
