Michael Mann is a scruffy rogue in the
Global
Warming industry. He looks arrogant as well. Being an alleged expert on something
or other
meant he was in a position to make fraudulent claims regarding trillions of
dollars.
He was caught cheating when
e-mails from the University of East Anglia were released into the wild - see
Global Warming Mob Are Criminals Perverting The Evidence on the point. Has
he apologized? Not a chance. His university ran an inquiry into his try ons.
Then gave him a pass. It was a whitewash run by his mates. Sources follow. Read
for yourself. Think for yourself. Decide for yourself.

Climategate professor Michael Mann protected to maximum extent by Penn State
QUOTE
It ultimately falls to one man to decide if we ever see headlines that shout: “Penn State Climate Prof Fudged Facts to Fetch Funding”, or perhaps “Nittany Lyin’: Penn State’s Mann on the Street.” Henry “Hank” Foley, the new vice president for research and dean of the graduate school, will hold professor Michael Mann’s academic future in his hands if an internal inquiry, now under way, sparks an investigation that finds Mann broke university policy....More surprising, the initial probe involves a committee of just three, all of whom are Penn State employees with a clear interest in preserving the reputation of a university ranked ninth in the nation in receiving government research and development grants. It may raise some eyebrows to know that no outsiders will monitor the proceedings.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. The perception of integrity in the climate research community will likely determine whether trillions of dollars are pumped into less-developed nations in the form of virtual reparations to atone for 150 years of unequal occupation of the so-called “carbon space” by more prosperous nations.......
Michael Mann created the now-famous “hockey stick” graph, which Al Gore cited in “An Inconvenient Truth,” his Oscar-winning PowerPoint presentation. Mann also received email from Phil Jones, director of the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit, in which Jones appeared to suggest he had used a “trick” to “hide the decline” in global average temperatures. Another Jones note asks Mann to delete emails that were the target of a Freedom Of Information Act request.
It’s in the context of one of the biggest stories of the decade — a scandal that called into question the credibility of an entire scientific discipline — that Penn State launched its initial 60-day inquiry.

Trillions of dollars are thousands of billions, which is to say seriously serious money. Pumping it into the Third World guarantees that a lot will be stolen. Most of the rest will be wasted. Then there is the matter of the comedians controlling the whole business. They are Jews. Financial manipulation is their forte. This is the biggest boondoggle yet, one based on fraud, lies, flim flam and waffle. Mann should be dealt with as a co-conspirator in a racket that makes Bernie Madoff look like an amateur.
Football, Rape & Global Warming Fraud
QUOTE
In the wake of Louis Freeh’s report on Penn State’s complicity in serial rape, Rand Simberg writes of Unhappy Valley’s other scandal:I’m referring to another cover up and whitewash that occurred there two years ago, before we learned how rotten and corrupt the culture at the university was. But now that we know how bad it was, perhaps it’s time that we revisit the Michael Mann affair, particularly given how much we’ve also learned about his and others’ hockey-stick deceptions since. Mann could be said to be the Jerry Sandusky of climate science, except that instead of molesting children, he has molested and tortured data in the service of politicized science that could have dire economic consequences for the nation and planet.
Not sure I’d have extended that metaphor all the way into the locker-room showers with quite the zeal Mr. Simberg does, but he has a point. Michael Mann was the man behind the fraudulent climate-change “hockey-stick” graph, the very ringmaster of the tree-ring circus. And, when the East Anglia emails came out, Penn State felt obliged to “investigate” Professor Mann. Graham Spanier, the Penn State president forced to resign over Sandusky, was the same cove who investigated Mann. And, as with Sandusky and Paterno, the college declined to find one of its star names guilty of any wrongdoing.
If an institution is prepared to cover up systemic statutory rape of minors, what won’t it cover up? Whether or not he’s “the Jerry Sandusky of climate change”, he remains the Michael Mann of climate change, in part because his “investigation” by a deeply corrupt administration was a joke.

Penn State says more investigation needed on Climategate's Michael Mann
Climategate Update - Penn State guilty Michael Mann whitewash
QUOTE
When it comes to independent inquiries, a federal Inspector General thinks that Penn State has an interesting take on the concept. “Independent” appears to mean totally not independent and “inquiry” seems to mean a way to avoid any type of investigation.
These Penn State girls are not - repeat, not - cheering for Michael MannAccording to that Inspector General, Penn State is guilty of a whitewash (or, in keeping with the school’s colors, a blue and white wash) of an investigation into Climategate and one of the scandal’s central figures, Michael Mann.
Penn State is being thrown to the Nittany Lions on a couple of things for its “independent” inquiry. Specifically, the school never interviewed a key witness who could corroborate – or not – the fact that Mann hid data that might disprove global warming theories. They also never asked whether Mann deleted or asked anyone else to delete the data. While the official report on the inquiries hasn’t been released, early indications are that the school’s Happy Valley nickname may need to be revised.

Mann Gets Mouthy - Mann Is Invited To Fornicate Elsewhere
QUOTE
Michael Mann has responded to my piece in The Daily Caller accusing Penn State of whitewashing ClimateGate. Mann’s response is typically off point from the question:in question is that I forwarded Wahl an email that Phil Jones had sent me, which I felt Wahl needed to see. There was no accompanying commentary by me or additional correspondence from me regarding the matter, nor did I speak to Wahl about the matter. This is, in short, a despicable smear that, more than anything else, speaks to the depths of dishonesty of professional climate change deniers like Chris Horner, Marc Morano, Stephen McIntyre, and Anthony Watts. The claim by fossil fuel industry lobbyist Chris Horner in his “Daily Caller” piece that I told Eugene Wahl to delete emails is a fabrication — a lie, and a libelous allegation. My only involvement in the episode
Please state where I “claim . . . that [Mann] told Eugene Wahl to delete emails,” and also what is libelous, Mr. Mann. If you do the latter, I am happy to retract it.
But, “Wahl
says Mann did indeed ask Wahl to destroy records, and Wahl
did” doesn’t do it, unless you want to crop off one end of the sentence
(“Wahl says”) and replace it with something more appealing to your thesis
(an inside joke for those familiar with the whole Hockey Stick saga).

Global Warming Mob Are Criminals Perverting The Evidence [ 28 January 2010
]
QUOTE
The university at the centre of the climate change
row over stolen e-mails broke the law by refusing to hand over its raw data
for public scrutiny. The University of East Anglia breached the Freedom of
Information Act by refusing to comply with requests for data concerning claims
by its scientists that man-made emissions were causing global warming. The
Information Commissioner’s Office decided that UEA failed in its duties under
the Act but said that it could not prosecute those involved because the
complaint was made too late, The Times has learnt. The ICO is now seeking to
change the law to allow prosecutions if a complaint is made more than six months
after a breach.
The
stolen e-mails , revealed on the eve of the Copenhagen summit, showed how
the university’s Climatic Research Unit attempted to thwart requests for
scientific data and other information, and suggest that senior figures at the
university were involved in decisions to refuse the requests. It is not known
who stole the e-mails.
