division in Poland that they would soon be going to Ukraine,
observing that “You’re going to see when you’re there, and some of
you have been there, you’re gonna see —” It was an admission that US
forces are already in place inside Ukraine even though the White
House quickly did damage control, asserting that the president
continues to be opposed to American soldiers being directly engaged
in the fighting...........

banned Russian as an official language in the eastern provinces,

High Commissioner for Human Rights reporting in February 2019, the
total number of conflict-related casualties between Ukraine and the
eastern provinces was 40,000-43,000 from April 14, 2014, to January
31, 2019, including 12,800-13,000 killed.
A peace settlement along the boundary of the eastern provinces,
ceding them to Russia, would end this war rather than prolonging it
for years. The billions given to Ukraine for munitions would be
better spent on rebuilding it into a modern democracy, raising
living standards far above what Putin’s gangster state can ever
offer.

The announcement that the US and Germany would provide the armored vehicles
to Ukraine comes a day after France announced it would give Kyiv AMX-10 RCs —
lightly armored wheeled vehicles that carry a cannon large enough to destroy
tanks.
The US has previously sent Ukraine [ much ] older personnel carriers
like the Vietnam-era M113. The influx of Western armor comes as the battle lines have ossified in much
of the country, with neither Russia nor Ukraine making significant territorial

discussions’ with Fink, has set up a patronage system that will, after
the country has been destroyed and its people destitute, purchase the
country’s assets at nominal prices from the desperate citizens, and then

Blackrock will set about ‘rebuilding’ the country. What could possibly
go wrong?
All of which raises the question as to how Ukrainians could fall for

NATO's Best Tanks Are Going To Ukraine, What Will It Mean On The Battlefield

are complicated to operate and maintain, so the US will provide Kiev with
“parts and equipment necessary to effectively sustain these tanks on the
battlefield.”

confirmed, the same day, that the German government will send Leopard 2
A6 tanks from its own stock and will allow other nations, such as Poland, to
transfer German-made machines, to Ukraine. On January 14, London
announced plans to ship its Challengers 2s to Kiev, while it now seems
inevitable that Paris will supply AMX-56 Leclerc
vehicles.
Russian experts and journalists have been locked in a heated debate over
the differences between these western main battle tanks and the Russian
T-90s, comparing their armor, guns, accuracy, active and passive protection
systems, maneuverability, fire-control systems, ammunition, and many other
attributes.
At the end of the day though, these discussions lack any practical value.
The battlefield is the only litmus test for the advantages and drawbacks of
any type of weapon or military equipment. Reliable statistics on combat use
are all that is required for a comparative analysis of modern main battle
tanks, if it is to be credible.
Another thing to remember is that all tanks are vulnerable to modern
anti-tank systems, so the question is, how many NATO tanks are going to make
their way to Ukraine?

tank survivable has been outstripped by the fielding of defensive systems
designed to overcome such defenses. If a modern military force attempted to
launch a large-scale tank-dominated attack against a well-equipped

be a decisive defeat for the attacking party marked by the
smoking hulks of burned-out tanks.
Don’t get
me wrong: tanks still have a vital role to play on the modern battlefield.
Their status as a mobile bunker is invaluable in the kind of meat-grinder
conflicts of attrition that have come to define the current stage of
large-scale ground combat. Speed and armor still contribute to
survivability, and the main gun of a tank remains one of the deadliest
weapons on the modern battlefield.
But the
modern tank performs best as part of a combined arms team, supported by
infantry (mounted and unmounted) and copious amounts of supporting arms
(artillery and close air support.) As part of such a team, especially one
that is well-trained in the art of close combat,
the tank remains an essential weapon of war. However, if operated in
isolation, a tank is simply an expensive mobile coffin.................
The
truth about tanks is that
NATO and its allied nations are making Ukraine weaker, not stronger, by
providing them with military systems that are overly complicated to operate,
extraordinarily difficult to maintain, and impossible to survive unless
employed in a cogent manner while supported by extensive combined arms
partners.
The
decision to provide Ukraine with Western main battle tanks is, literally, a
suicide pact, something those who claim they are looking out for the best
interests of Ukraine should consider before it is too late.

same kosher nostra gangsters using the same playbook. Namely to
privatise – “participate in the free, global marketplace” – the
country’s resources, land, mineral, industrial and scientific (think of
all those lovely biowarfare labs) which will end up in the hands of the
Usual Suspects for a tiny fraction of their real value. They point to
the Ukrainian Land Reform (there’s that ‘reform’ again!) law of 2021,
driven by international conglomerates and enabling them to buy up huge
tracts of Ukrainian soil. Interestingly, just as Zelensky campaigned on
a peace ticket before immediately plunging into a catastrophic war, this
law was sold on the basis of protecting the ownership rights of

bribery and other forms of corruption remain endemic in the police force,
higher education, health care, and the justice system, with the result that
Ukraine ranks alongside some of the worst African nations in Transparency
International’s assessment of corruption perception.
